The secret birthplace of the Crested Auklet is the inaptly named Orange Jewel-weed (impatiens capensis). Fortunately this beautiful and prolific flower is also known as the Orange Balsam or the Spotted Touch-Me-Not. The Auklet’s hairdo is the Striped Touch-Me-Knot.
